Sooo we went to Lagoon in....

When dad Stacey called us Friday night to see if we wanted to go to Lagoon the next day we, of course, said yes because we love spending time with our family. However, in our heads we thought, how could there be anything fun to do at Lagoon. Neither Matt or I had been there in years. We also knew that we did have a plan for the day to do many productive tasks, not needing to be mentioned. But this was surely going to be more fun than staying home to complete those. As part of our plan, we figured we would leave around 6 to get Eliza home to bed on time and get a few things done.

When we arrived at Lagoon, we walked away from the car and I mentioned bringing the camera. We decided we had no need for it on this day. Quickly we learned, how wrong we were on all fronts. Though, we did have the fun family time right because it is always fun to spend time with family. We walked into Lagoon and the fun began. Since we did not bring in our camera, some of these pictures are courtesy of dad Stacey and his marvelous camera efforts.

We rode the train a few times. We got to see lots of animals. It was sort of like a mini zoo.

 Eliza loved it every time.



Eliza had fun going on her first rollercoaster, then going a second time with grandma, and a third time with grandpa. We quickly learned that they were very nice to let her on this ride because most of the rides will not let little ones on, even if under 2 and tall enough, because they still need to pay the entrance fee or buy tickets. So we were grateful for the rides she was able to get on. And next time, she can do them all over and over again. She still sees pictures of this rollercoaster and gets so excited.



Eliza also was able to go in a little car ride. When we got in line, it didn't occur to me that it was only for kids. So when it was our turn to get on, only Eliza was allowed to go. I didn't know how she would take it being alone and with a kid she doesn't even know. But I told her I would see her soon and to have fun on the ride. She did just that, she steered herself all the way back to me.

We went on the first weekend of Lagoon Frightmares, so they also had all things Halloween. They had a super fun, kid-friendly hay maze with some trick-or-treating.

Then we got some yummy ice cream and the girls played. Eliza has really started to enjoy Clifton, Violet, and Azure and they in turn are really cute with her. They each have their special games they play together and I can't think of  many things more sweet than cousins getting to spend time being kids together.

Then it was time for a big kid ride. Cliffton and Violet had their first experience on a water rapids rafting ride. As you can see they had a blast and were all smiles. These kids find great joy in everything, I love that about them. 

 So we ended up staying at Lagoon until almost 9. We had so much fun. We loved getting to go and play with our family. I'm pretty sure, this was Eliza's first experience with real, true-blue excitement over something so new. She was so excited to be at Lagoon and she could not even sleep on the way home. She still will see pictures of this day and get super excited and start doing her gibberish thing in the most excited, happy voice. Soooo all-in-all we couldn't have been more wrong about a trip to Lagoon, it was a day for the memory books. Thanks mom and dad Stacey for a fabulous adventure!
