California Vacation - Sea World

We love Sea World Adventures!

California Vacation - San Diego Zoo

Polar Bear Cave

We love our little panda friend at the zoo.
The children's section had a fun petting zoo. Eliza enjoyed getting to run around and pet all of the animals.

Sea World - Day 3

A special Eliza and daddy moment. I love how much they enjoy each other.

Day 3 at Sea World was still just as much fun as day 1. We had no idea how much we would enjoy it here. It was a great place for Eliza to walk, watch, and interact.

Shipreck Rapids Fun
When Eliza saw her family on Shipreck Rapids, she cheered them on with squeals of delight, big smiles, and arms high in the air.

Eliza loved the tide pools. She got to splash in the water with Grandma until her heart was content.

This was a random backdrop that we thought would be fun for a picture....

Taking a trip on the Sky Tower Ride

San Diego Temple photo op

After Matt and I visited the San Diego Temple, we decided it would be fun to attempt a family picture of sorts on the temple grounds. So here is our effort. They actually turned out pretty good.

Eliza loves her mommy
In some ways, I think Eliza had a hard time this week because her mommy-and-me time was very different. So at this particular moment, she decided only mommy could be with her.

Sea World - Day 2: Backstage at the Wild Arctic Exhibit

Of course, we had to start the day off at the petting pools. Eliza had fun getting her hands in the water. I'm not sure if she would have enjoyed it as much if the little fish had come up and started nibbling at her hand.

On my bucket list (if I had one) would be swimming with dolphins. Sea World has an interactive dolphin exhibit so these people paid the money and got to get in the water with the dolphins. Even though it wasn't me, it was so fun to see these people get so excited over their dolphin adventure.

I have decided penguins are a very interesting creature. They were really fun to watch.

I love the walking pictures with Eliza.

Our Backstage Experience
We got to hang out by the training pool for the Beluga Whales.  Ferdinand is very old and friendly. He stayed right there on the edge the entire time. The baby beluga was taking a break from all of the people viewing areas.

This is the polar bear containment area for night time. The security in here was crazy. You had to do some many things to open any door. And trainers were not allowed to be in with the polar bears unless they were sedated.

This walrus weighs a few thousand pounds. He is huge! We each had a chance to feed him and ask him to do a trick. He gave me a kiss...on the hand.

It was a once in a lifetime experience and we had a ton of fun.
