Eliza is going to 3 year old Preschool

Eliza LOVES learning. 

She soaks in everything that is introduced to her and inquires about much more.

She already is sounding out the first letter of words and adding numbers from 1 to 5. 

She can count to 20 and can recognize numbers 1 to 12. 

She has learned most of her letters and is still learning sounds.

Onion Days Parade 2016

This was the first year we attended the parade. Matt and I are not huge fans of parades so until now, there hasn't been much reason to go. But with Eliza getting older, we thought she would enjoy it. And boy oh boy did she. This was the first time she got to push her baby brother in the stroller.

She loved getting candy thrown her direction.

Of course, her favorite part was the girls in pretty dresses and the dancers.

Family Portrait Attempt

A few reasons family portraits do not take place EVER...

* I don't know how to do the matchy matchy outfit thing

*Having the time to actually get my hair and makeup for such an event is nearly impossible

*Kids don't tend to cooperate (as shown by the pictures)

*And what's a good family pose??... I don't know. ;) 

* I don't like the idea of having to pay someone for some pictures

*Getting all of us to smile for the camera at the same time seems nearly impossible

*We aren't ever in the ideal picture location with a camera and camera person on hand

*The list goes on and on

That all being said, I love this family of mine, even if we don't have many cutsie family pictures. 

We just need to do more selfies....those tend to turn out great!!

Though, truth be told, this is our family in a nutshell. Just happy to be us and be together.  

Lucas wasn't quite the smiler he is now. He is about 3 1/2 months in these shots.

Felicia's Cousin, Casey, Visits from Oklahoma

A dear cousin that I had not seen in years came to visit Utah for the first time. It was fun to spend time with her and get to know her sweet and kind personality. Eliza loved her from the moment she met her. She wanted her to ride in the car with us, she wanted to sit by her, and she wanted to talk and talk to her. It was really cute and sweet how much Eliza enjoyed her. Even now, a couple of months later, when we hear about Oklahoma on the weather report or anywhere, she mentions that cousin Casey is in Oklahoma. 

We spent an afternoon at BYU.

We visited Bridal Veil Falls. It was a gorgeous day.

Had a fun time at Sundance and eating yummy food.

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm.
