Thanksgiving Point with McPhillens

Jared came out to visit for one of his best friend's weddings. It was fun to get a chance to hang out with him a bit. We went to Thanksgiving Point Gardens and as Eliza puts it had a fun, crazy Jared wild ride. My mom rented a golf cart so we could see everything in a hurry because we didn't have too much time. 

Golden Spike National Historic Site

Road Trip......

So there is this place in Northern Utah that my Grandpa Morley has talked about for years and we finally made out there......Golden Spike National Historic Site. At this site on May 10, 1869, the Union and Central Pacific Railroads joined their rails at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory. 

Fourth of July Weekend - Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Zoo

For about 5 years now, the McPhillen family has gotten up at the break of dawn (5am to be exact) on July 4th to be a part of the hot air balloon festival. 

 

 

A yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel but first a visit to the rocking chairs. 

Eliza has gained a great love for chairs. 

On Saturday, we went to the zoo with Aunt Megan, Uncle Kevin, and Grandpa Stacey. 

We got to ride the train a couple of times around the new safari exhibit.

It's not a zoo visit without a few visits to the merry-go-round
